Myryad MI
BluePlay
Q. | What sort of devices will pair with my Myryad BluePlay? |
---|---|
A. | The BluePlay should pair with most Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones & laptops. |
Q. | How do I connect a Bluetooth device to my Myryad BluePlay? |
A. | Complete the following steps Ensure the Mi is turned off either at the wall socket or at the switch on the rear panel Insert the BluePlay into the M-Port socket on the rear panel of the Mi Turn on the Mi at the wall socket and at the switch on the rear panel The BluePlay will flash its LED repeatedly for up to 2 Minutes whilst looking for devices to pair with Set the Bluetooth device you wish to pair to search Your device should find ‘BLUEPLAY’. Select this Enter the pass code 0000 when prompted The LED on the BLUEPLAY will then be ON constantly Select the BluePlay as a source on the Mi either by using the ‘Port’ button on the remote or via ‘S’ on the front panel. Stream your music and enjoy! |
Q. | It didn’t connect, what can I do? |
A. | Turn the power off for at least 10 seconds & try the process again. |
Q. | My BluePlay flashes at different rates what does this mean? |
A. | Fast Flash: You can pair with a new device in this mode. The BluePlay maintains this mode for several minutes after it is powered-up. Slow Flash: Sleep mode. It will automatically connect with a paired device in this mode, but you cannot pair with a new device. If you want to pair with a new device turn off the power on the Mi to initiate the fast flash. Constant: Paired and connected to a device. |
Q. | My BluePlay appears to drop its connection and start flashing between tracks? |
A. | Not all Bluetooth devices work the same way and some devices temporarily drop their connection between tracks or whilst on pause. However the connection should be re-made instantaneously and this should not stop you enjoyment of the music. |
Q. | My BluePlay light does not go off in Standby. Why is this? |
A. | The BluePlay light only goes off when the Mi is switched off either at the wall socket or at the switch on the rear panel. |
iPods and iPhones
Q. | Does the Mi work with the new 3G iPhone? |
---|---|
A. | Yes the Mi allows you to play music through your 3G iPhone. |
Q. | When I connect my 3G iPhone to my Mi it displays the following message that the ‘Accessory is not compatible do you wish to switch to Airplane mode?’ Why is this & what should I do? |
A. | Because the Mi does not support the making and receiving of telephone calls the iPhone offers the option to turn-off the telephone functions. This is called Airplane mode. You do not need to select Airplane mode to enjoy listening to your music and most people select ‘No’ when prompted. |
Q. | What happens if my iPhone receives a call whilst I am listening to my music? |
A. | As long as you have not selected ‘Airplane’ mode the Mi will pause the music when a call comes through & you will hear your phone ringing through the Mi. If you leave your phone connected to the Mi while you make your call the Mi will automatically start your music again when the call is finished. |
Q. | The music sounds distorted when I play it through my Mi. What can I do? |
A. | If this occurs please contact your Mi dealer. |
Q. | My new iPod/iPhone does not charge when connected to my Mi. What can I do? |
A. | If this occurs please contact your Mi dealer. |
Q. | My iPod/iPhone discharges when left connected to my Mi. What can I do? |
A. | This happens when the Mi is switched off either at the wall socket or at the switch on the rear panel. Please disconnect your iPod before switching-off your Mi. |
Q. | Why does my iPod display the wrong artist or track? |
A. | If tracks are repeatedly skipped and then the playlist menus immediately navigated the Mi loses synchronisation with the iPod. If this happens please disconnect and reconnect your iPod. |
DAB/FM
Q. | My DAB or FM signal isn’t very good, why is this? |
---|---|
A. | It may be that the DAB or FM coverage in the area isn’t very strong. The Mi is also designed to work with an external aerial which should produce a much stronger signal. |
Q. | Why does my Mi ‘lock-up’ in DAB? |
A. | If your DAB appears to lock-up make sure you are in a DAB coverage area and have an antenna or aerial connected. (Explanation: When switched to DAB the Mi tries to the find a signal of sufficient strength. If there is no DAB coverage or no antenna or aerial connected it will not find a signal and will eventually time-out and respond to other commands. Whilst it is finding a signal the only commands it will respond to are changes in stations and it will not time-out until it has attempted to try all the requested stations.) |
Front Panel
Q. | Why does it seem that the front panel standby button does not respond? |
---|---|
A. | To avoid accidently turning the Mi on by brushing past it or dusting it the standby button requires a slightly longer touch than the other buttons. |
Q. | Sometimes the front panel buttons do not respond at all. Why is this? |
A. | It is necessary to cover as much of a button as possible for them to respond. For example, using the tip of a finger is not as good as using ball or even the thumb. |
Q. | Why do I sometimes get no sound out of the speakers when I turn the Mi on? |
A. | When the Mi is turned on it will boot up & the stand by button will flash a few times. If the Mi is turned on while the button is flashing then it may result in no sound going to the speakers. In order to make sure that this doesn’t happen wait until a solid red light is showing before switching the unit on. |
