The Z-Series is more than just a pretty package… These units are sure to score high on the WAF ‘wife acceptance factor’ scale… I immediately noticed the relaxed, laid-back presentation… For months, people have been asking me for a stylish alternative to the various Bose-like systems currently on the market. I now have an answer: Myryad Z-Series… Based on performance alone, the Z-Series offers serious bang for the buck and the great looks are an added benefit… The Myryad components are comparable with the best in their price class and lead the pack in styling, something to consider if your components are out in plain view… The Z-Series provides solid sonic capabilities in an attractive box at a reasonable price… I think Myryad has a hit with their new Z-Series

Slimline good looks; satisfying, big-boned sound… the Z140 plays music in a rich, warm and generous fashion… very good when a turntable is connected, which should heighten its appeal to LP users… this is an amplifier that will impress without ever having the kind of excessive brightness of forwardness so many seem to find offensive in ‘serious’ hi-fi… many will enjoy the scale and lushness of this amplifier… with its combination of remote control, simplicity, sleek looks and easygoing sound, this is an amplifier likely to appeal to users who consider most amps too big and ugly

It has the style to appeal… this affordable amp is easy to enjoy… the amp is built to a high standard, with good power supplies, direct-coupled circuitry and output devices capable of delivering twice the nominal 50W per channel… not surprisingly, the Z140 sounds big, powerful and relaxed whether playing solo instruments or large-scale orchestral works… recordings with a sharp edge or excessive brightness are tamed, making many discs enjoyable rather than irritating… the Myryad is an easy product to recommend

The Z-140 integrated is a slim-line 50 watt beauty with one of the cleanest fascias we’ve encountered… it quickly showed what an extra £100 can achieve if carefully spent. It brings more space, greater realism and more all-round integrity to the party… it has a clean delivery that makes musical lines easier to follow…. the amp resolving the way the player emphasised certain notes to give the music fluency and precision… the Z-140 has remarkable grip and tightness in the bass… it made a very positive impression right from the start… the Arcam and Rotel come close for considerably less money, but if you want an amp that will serve you through several speaker upgrades this Myryad is a great buy… a meticulously engineered, highly competent and remarkably stylish little amp that delivers the goods musically whatever your taste. Not as powerful as some at the price but quality is the name of the game and this has it in spades
